ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The SUNY Geneseo women's soccer team traveled to the University of Rochester this afternoon, facing off against the 3-0-3 Yellowjackets. The Knights fell 1-0, making their record 0-4-3 on the year.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The first half saw both teams locked into a defensive battle, neither side was able to get much rolling on offense.
- The second half the game began to pick up a bit, with more shots falling on goal for both sides. Emily McLouth had back-to-back saved in the 47th and 49th minute of the game.
- Abby Dunnigan had a close shot on goal that was narrowly saved in the 48th minute of the game.
- The defense would hold up for another 30 minutes, but Rochester was able to score in the 76th minute, putting them up 1-0.
- Despite holding the Yellowjackets to no shots for the rest of the game, Geneseo was unable to get the offense going and the game ended at 1-0.
