GENESEO, N.Y. – The SUNY Geneseo women's soccer team kept their home stretch rolling as they took on Oswego at College Stadium on Tuesday afternoon, finishing the game in another 1-1 draw to move to 0-0-2 on the year.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Geneseo kept the pressure on early, recording six corner kicks and five shots in the first 25 minutes of the game.
- The offensive pressure paid off in the 26th minute of the game, as Ella Yartym drew a foul inside the box and Abby Dunnigan scored the penalty kick goal to bring the Knights up 1-0.
- The Knights would hold off the Lakers with good defensive pressure until the start of the second half.
- Oswego got loose in the 48th minute and scored a breakaway goal to make the game 1-1, and despite a few good looks by the Geneseo offense, they couldn't break the tie.
QUICK FACTS:
- Geneseo had 14 corner kicks compared to just one from the Lakers.
- Dunnigan now has both of Geneseo's goals on the season.
- Emily McLouth recorded a full 90 minutes again,recording five saves; she has 8 total on the season.
