GENESEO, N.Y. – The SUNY Geneseo women's soccer team tied Hartwick, 0-0, in the first Empire 8 match up of the season for the Knights. Geneseo moves to 0-1-3 on the season with the draw.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Carly Chupick & Grace Engle had close shots early in the 1^st half, but they were unable to convert on those opportunities and the game went to halftime tied 0-0.
• Nadia Jaworowicz came close on a breakaway shot late in the 2^nd half, but Hartwick was able to make the save.
• Despite keeping Hartwick backed into their own zone for most of the game, neither team was able to steal the momentum, and the game ended as a 0-0 tie.

QUICK FACTS:

• Geneseo out shot Hartwick 20-3 and had five more shots on goal.
• Emily McLouth played a full 90 minutes in net, getting 2 saves, bringing her total to 15 on the season.
• Grace Engle, Julia Carter, Nadia Jaworowicz, Samantha DeNisco, and Ella Yartym all registered shots on goal.
