GENESEO, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo women's golf team couldn't pull out a win at William Smith on Thursday afternoon, falling 3-1 at Clifton Springs CC.

Annabel Barberich highlighted the match for the Knights, cruising to a 7&6 win over the Herons. Barberich was down one after three holes, but then won eight of the next nine holes to secure the win. Hanna Bechard couldn't pull out a victory, falling 5&4, while Samantha Petroci battled in the second match, but couldn't pull ahead and ultimately fell 3&2. To round out the match Riley Tripp put together a strong front nine, but couldn't keep the momentum going and dropped the match 4&3.

Geneseo's match against St. Lawrence scheduled for Sept. 15 has been canceled, but the Knights return to Livingston Country Club on Sept. 24 against Hilbert.
