GENESEO, NY: The Geneseo Men's Lacrosse celebrated Senior Day with a 24-2 win over the SUNY Poly Wildcats. This gives the team an overall record of 8-6 and conference record of 5-2. 

HOW IT HAPPENED: 

• The Knights scored the first goal of the game 30 seconds into the quarter, with Askel Stanat finding Jake Perincheif to take the lead. SUNY Poly answered with one of their own, but it was not enough of a push as Geneseo went on to score six more before the end of the first.  

• Geneseo continued to dominate in the second, with Jimmy Atkinson and Ronnie Trebing each scoring two more goals apiece. This, along with four others, gave the team the 15-1 lead heading into halftime.  

• Skyler Mitchell (2), Christian Besaw and Alex Johanson each found the back of the net before the Wildcats scored their second. Mitchell and Maddox Gorney tallied two more, making it 21-2 after the third.  

• Johnathan Dubiz tallied a hattrick in the fourth, scoring the last three goals of the game for the Knights. Geneseo takes down the Wildcats 24-2.  

QUICK FACTS: 

• Jimmy Atkinson led the team with four goals. This gives him a total of 33 for the season.  

• Nick Nicastro led the team with three caused turnovers and two groundballs this afternoon. This added to the team's season high of 46 ground balls.  

• Geneseo outshot SUNY Poly 42-7.

Geneseo is on the road to Alfred on Wednesday, April 23rd for a 4 PM faceoff.
