GENESEO, NY- The Women's Basketball team defeated the Elmira Soaring Eagles 67-37. This win marks their 14th of the season, putting them at 14-5 overall and 9-1 in conference play.  

HOW IT HAPPENED: 

• Geneseo and Elmira kept it close to start the first but rebounds from Grace Galgano and good shots from Kristin Suydam put the Knights ahead 24-11 heading into the second quarter.  

• The Knights continued to control the game with Kiley Snow, Aliza Whitehead and Galgano all hitting 3-point shots and the team went into halftime leading the Soaring Eagles 43-18. 

• Whitehead continued to play hard in the third, putting up six points to extend the lead by 35-points. The Knights held strong through the fourth quarter and took home the win 67-37.  

QUICK FACTS: 

• Kristin Suydam led the team with 14 points and 10 rebounds.  

• Audrey Hintz had a career high of four blocks. 

• Mackenzie Reigle had nine assists tonight, putting her at 149 on the season and number one in the Empire 8.

The Knights will host Keuka College (5-13) tomorrow at 2 PM at Schrader Gymnasium.
