GENESEO, NY- The SUNY Geneseo Men's Basketball team pulled out an 88-83 victory over Elmira after an incredible 57-point second half. Geneseo now sits at 6-13 overall and 3-7 in conference play.  

HOW IT HAPPENED: 

• Elmira took an early 8-0 lead in the first, but Josh Garelle cut the deficit to one a few minutes later. The Soaring Eagles did not let up, putting up 16 unanswered points, with Geneseo down 29-17.  

• Even with great effort by Geneseo, Elmira extended the lead to 45-20 with four minutes left in the first half. Robert Percolosi put up six points in the final minutes to send the Knights into halftime down 45-31. 

• Geneseo came out hot in the second, with Garelle and Pericolosi putting up 19 points to tie the game 64-64.  

• Trevor Hofer and Colin Gentile put up a combined 15 points from 3-point shots to give the knight the lead 80-74. The Knights held strong through the final minutes and defeated Elmira 88-83.  

QUICK FACTS: 

• The Knights put up 57 points in the second half to come back from down 25 points; the largest comeback this season.  

• Josh Garelle and Robert Pericolosi each had 23 points this evening. They now lead the team with 228 and 219 points, respectively. 

• The Knights 11 three-pointers mark the season high, with Trevor Hofer and Colin Gentile each having five.
