ROCHESTER, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo men's track and field team opened up its 2025-26 season at Nazareth on Friday evening.
The Knights got off to a hot start, placing five runners inside the top seven of the 400m.
Jacob Miller and
Sam Belmont led the way with times of 48.27 and 48.73, respectively. In the mile, Cameron Garofalo took second for Geneseo at 4:35.04. The 800m saw
Dawson Wadsworth and
Tim Sheahan lead the way for a pack of Knights, placing second and third at 1:55.81 and 1:57.31, respectively. The 4x400 relay team of
Andrew Kent,
Jack Towns, Belmont, and Miller, won the race with a time of 3:18.55.
Chris Desiderio and Adam Specht highlighted the field events, placing second and third in the triple jump at 13.54 and 13.04, respectively.
David Lang also took on the long jump and placed third at 6.41.
