GENESEO, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo field hockey team will continue its 2025 campaign at Hamilton in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament, announced on Sunday evening by the NCAA. The Knights earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament with their second-straight Empire 8 title, defeating Nazareth 5-1 on Saturday. Geneseo will now head to Clinton, N.Y. on Wednesday, Nov. 12.

Geneseo enters the postseason tournament with the program's best record ever at 20-1, and they are second in the country in goals per game at 4.75. The matchup with Hamilton will mark the 19th meeting between the two programs, with the Continentals holding a slim advantage at 10-8. The last time the two programs met was in 2016, where the Knights fell 3-1.
