GENESEO, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo field hockey team earned four All-Region honors, announced by the NFHCA this week. The Knights were led by Ella Greico and Sam Lewis on First-Team, and Shannon Cunningham and Sara O'Donnell on Second-Team.

Greico led the Empire 8 in scoring with 67 points on 28 goals and 11 assists in 22 games played this season, which is also a program record for goals and points in a season. She excelled in league play, tallying 39 points on 16 goals and seven assists in 10 games versus E8 foes. Greico led the Knights to the NCAA Tournament having recorded at least one goal in 17 games, with four different hat-tricks and five contests with at least seven points. Greico finished the season in the top-10 nationally in both goals (1.33 – sixth) and points (3.19 – sixth) per game.

Lewis was second on the Knights offense this season with 33 points on 10 goals and 13 assists. The senior surpassed the 100 point mark in her career by scoring Geneseo's lone goal in the NCAA Tournament against Hamilton, and is second all-time in program history for career assists with 34. Lewis also tied the program record for assists in a season with 13 this year.

O'Donnell and Cunningham highlighted an impressive midfield and defensive unit for the Knights, with both being named to the Empire 8 All-Tournament Team and O'Donnell bringing home Tournament MVP honors. O'Donnell, Cunningham and the Knights out-shot their opponents in the tournament by a margin of 54-10, and registered an impressive 13 shutouts on the season.
