GENESEO, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo field hockey team picked up a 5-0 victory over Keuka on Saturday afternoon, marking their eighth-straight victory. The Knights improve to 12-1 on the season and 5-0 in Empire 8 action.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• The Knights wasted no time getting on the board, with Ella Greico scoring 38 seconds into the game off an assist by Kyra Giannelli. Geneseo tacked on two more goals in the quarter, with Halle Senfield and Aubree Wenner finding the back of the goal to make it a 3-0 advantage.
• Greico scored her second goal of the game to begin the second quarter, with Shannon Cunningham picking up the assists. Senfield picked up her second goal of the game before halftime, giving the Knights a 5-0 advantage going into halftime.
• Both defenses held strong in the second half, resulting in Geneseo holding on for the 5-0 win.

QUICK FACTS:

• Greico now has 16 goals on the season and 36 points to lead the Geneseo offense. Greico's 16 goals ties her career high for goals in a season, set last year.
• Bridget Schafer recorded her 12th win in goal, picking up a save in the first half of action.
