GENESEO, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo women's golf team took on William Smith on Friday, Sep. 27 at Livingston Country Club, and won two out of three matches.
Sara Ippolito cruised to a win in her match against the Herons, winning after hole 10 with a score of 10 & 8. Highlighting her round was a pair of pars on holes five and eight, as she won every hole she competed on en route to a score of 43 on the front 9.
Brooklyn Rogers picked up the other win for the Knights, winning with a score of 6 & 5. Rogers tallied a pair of birdies on the day, with a four on the par 5 sixth hole, and a two on the par 3 11th hole. Rounding out the competition for the Knights was freshman
Elise Courto, who tied William Smith after all 18 holes.
The Knights will return to LCC on Tuesday, Oct. 1 against Utica.
