PITTSFORD, N.Y. – The SUNY Geneseo women's golf team competed in the two-day Nazareth Invitational, playing Round 1 at Ravenwood Golf Club and Round 2 at Locust Hill Country Club in Pittsford, N.Y. Geneseo finished third as a team with a 36-hole score of +188 (89-99), behind St. John Fisher (+111) and Nazareth (+138).

Avery Smith led Geneseo for the tournament, firing an 86 in the first round before a 93 in the second to finish at +35, good for seventh place. She carded pars on four of her first nine holes in Round 1 (Nos. 1, 4, 5 and 8) and added a birdie on No. 3 in Round 2. Lydia Hickey was right behind her, posting a 93 in Round 1 and improving to a 91 in Round 2 to finish eighth at +40, highlighted by a birdie on No. 10 in the second round. Hanna Bechard carded a 95 and a 100 to place 12th at +51. Avery Keller shot back-to-back 103s to finish 16th at +62, and Annabel Barberich rounded out the Knights at +66 after rounds of 103 and 107, finishing 17th.

Geneseo will next tee off Oct. 11-12 at the Empire 8 Invitational at Lake Shore Yacht & Country Club.  FULL RESULTS
