GENESEO, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo women's volleyball team picked up a big non-conference victory Tuesday evening over Fredonia, winning 3-1. Maddy Baumann led the offensive effort with 11 kills and the Knights now sit at 3-9 on the season as they head into conference play.

In the second, the Knights came out hot. Madison Gamberg had a great start, tallying 3 kills and an ace to give Geneseo the 12-7 lead. Fredonia attempted to come back but Ayla Pas'cal grabbed her second kill of the set and Peyton Cole sealed the set with two aces as Geneseo won 25-21.

Geneseo kept this momentum going, leading 8-4 early in the second set. Fredonia fought hard and took the lead 20-17 late in the set. However, Maddy Baumann kicked it into gear and tallied three straight kills off sets by Carolyn Mack and giving the team a 24-21 lead. Mack set Baumann up again on set point and she got the kill to win the set.
