Rochester, N.Y.- The SUNY Geneseo men's soccer team dropped its Tuesday night tilt at The University of Rochester by a 3-1 score. The Knights moved to 2-2-3 on the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED:  

• Senior forward Vasion Sinjari fired a shot on target that was denied by the Yellowjackets goalkeeper in the 6th minute. Sinjari attempted another shot in the 8th minute that flew high over the net.  

• The Yellowjackets took a 1-0 lead on a shot from the top of the box in the 20th minute, taking the lead into the locker room at halftime.

• The University of Rochester converted a 25-yard free kick in the 59th minute to extend the lead to two.  Another goal was added in the 63rd minute by the Yellowjackets.  

• Senior defender Joe Vogt scored a header off a corner kick in the 88th minute. Senior forward Evan Lodie with the assist on the play.

QUICK FACTS:  

• Geneseo was held to one shot on goal each half throughout the contest.  

• Geneseo holds a (15-16-3) record all-time against the Rochester. In their last meeting,
  at Rochester, Joe Vogt was also the only Geneseo player to score. 

• Senior goalkeeper Vincent Maronski and first-year goalkeeper Max Crothall split time in the net, each playing 45 minutes.

The Knights (2-2-3) will travel to Albany to take on Sage College (4-3) on Saturday, September 28th, at 2 pm.
