Buffalo NY- Geneseo Women's Soccer took home 4-0 win over Buffalo State this past Sunday. Lindsey Matthews led the team, tallying two goals during the game.  

HOW IT HAPPENED: 

• Matthews took charge in the opening minutes of the game, scoring her first goal of the game at 5:27, unassisted.  

• Geneseo continued to control the field, taking shot after shot until Kiersten Shephard found the back of the net off a pass from Lindsey Clar at 27:43. 

• Nadia Jaworowicz scored 10 minutes later to end the half 3-0. She was assisted by Carly Chupick. 

• Matthews tallied her second and final goal at 53:20, with the assist from Juliette Frischmann. The Knights went on to win 4-0 against the Bengals and are now 1-0 on the season.  

KEY FACTS: 

• Matthews has tied her record for goals in a season in a single game.  

• Mollie Collins secured her first win of the season.
