Geneva, NY: Geneseo Tennis competed at the William Smith Tournament this weekend.  

HOW IT HAPPENED: 

In singles action, Samantha Rava, Talia Wutz, Rachel Malloy, Joann Catalano and Katie Kujawa represented the Knights. Rava, Wutz, Malloy and Kujawa took tough losses in the opening round while Catalano came close, falling 8-5 to Hobart & William Smith. 

In doubles play, Natalie Pipes and Rava drew the fifth seed of the tournament, facing off against U of R but fell 8-5. Malloy and Wutz also competed in the doubles action but lost 8-0 to RPI.  Kujawa and Catalano rounded out the doubles teams, playing a tough match against Union College, but fell 8-6.  

The Knight's open their home season Wednesday, September 4th against Cortland.
