GENESEO, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo women's tennis team turned in a dominant performance at home, sweeping Houghton 7-0 to improve to 8-0 overall and 5-0 in Empire 8 play.

The Knights took care of business in doubles, winning all three flights. Natalie Pipes and JoAnn Catalano needed a tiebreak to close out first doubles, winning 7-6. Samantha Rava and Rachel Molloy followed with a 6-2 win at second doubles, and Talia Wutz and Alexandra Comiskey capped the doubles point with a 6-0 win at third doubles.

Geneseo carried that momentum into singles, sweeping all six flights. Pipes won 6-3, 7-5 at first singles, and Rava followed with a 6-0, 6-1 win at second singles. Molloy won 6-1, 6-0 at third singles, while Catalano cruised at fourth singles, 6-0, 6-0. Levatino and Wutz each turned in shutout wins at fifth and sixth singles, both 6-0, 6-0.

The Knights remain unbeaten through eight matches this season, but will face a big weekend traveling to the defending Empire 8 champions in Hartwick on Friday, then following it up at Scranton on Saturday.
