The defense also held strong, only allowing one goal in the quarter as the Knights went to halftime with an 11-2 lead.
  • Out of the break, Geneseo's Sophie Lyko was assisted by Mo. Brown gave the team a double-digit lead for the first time in the matchup. Their lead went up from there as Salanger, Brennan, and Ma. Brown each found the back of the net in the final eight minutes of the third quarter.
  • Going into the final period with a 15-3 lead, Geneseo only added on as they kept New Paltz scoreless while scoring four more goals in the final 15 minutes of action. Goals from Dickinson (2), Cook, and Long sealed the Knights' third consecutive SUNYAC semifinal victory.
