CLERMONT, F.L. - The SUNY Geneseo softball team was unable to pull off a pair of victories to conclude their spring breakt trip in Florida on Friday morning. The Knights fell to Rowan, 5-0, and Gettysburg, 9-0, to move to 3-9 on the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- In the top of the first inning, Jane Reilly doubled to left field, but the Knights were unable to bring her home. The scoreless tie continued until the third inning, when Rowan was able to pick up some runs and take the lead.
- Geneseo was able to get two runners on base in the fourth inning, but couldn't find a way get on the scoreboard and ultimately fell, 5-0.
- Against Gettysburg, Tori Guary and Rebecca Schwartz led off the first with back-to-back singles, but the Knights weren't able to bring them around to score.
- The Bullets put together a big run in the second inning, and Geneseo wasn't able to mount a comeback and fell 9-0.

- Jane Reilly led the Knights offensively against Rowan, going 2-3 at the plate. Against Gettysburg, five players recorded a hit.
- Gabriella Petroski threw 4.1 innings against Rowan and didn't allow an earned run.

Geneseo will head back home and have some time off before hosting Alfred on Wednesday, March 27 at 3 p.m.
