Maddie Brown Records 100th Career Point As Women's Lacrosse Knocks Off Kenyon, 13-9

Panama City Beach F.L. - The SUNY Geneseo Women's Lacrosse Team completed their spring trip with a big win over Kenyon College, 13-9. Highlighting the game was Maddie Brown, who recorded her 100th career point in the game to help the Knights move to 4-2 overall.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • The Knights struck first with Megan Cook getting the man-up goal off a pass from Caitlyn Korzeniewski just under two minutes into the action. Maddie Brown sored two goals of her own to end the first with a 4-1 lead for the Knights.
  • Cook scored again in the second with the assist from Alaina Reina to kick off the quarter. Emily Salanger then helped put the Knights up 8-1 going into halftime off an assist from Korzeniewski.
  • Maddie Brown completed her hat track with an assist from Molly Brown to put the team up by five in the second half. However, Kenyon had the answer and went on a run to close out the third quarter and bring the game within one goa.
  • In the fourth, Cook scored another seven minutes in off an assist by Reina to help Geneseo maintain a lead, and then Maddie Brown ended the night with another goal that was assisted by Reina to seal the Knights 13-9 win.
 
HIGHLIGHTS
  • Maddie Brown recorded her 100th career point this evening. She also led the team in goals, scoring four during the game.
  • Molly Brown led the team in points, tallying two goals and three assists.  
  • Emily DeJohn had six saves on the night to get the win in goal.
     
WHAT'S NEXT 
The Knights will head back to New York and will travel to Oneonta on Saturday March 23 for a 1 p.m. start.
