ROCHESTER AND HOUGHTON, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo men's track and field team opened up its 2024-25 season on Friday evening, as they traveled to meets at Nazareth, Houghton and Boston.
NAZARETH:
In the 400m Invitational event,
Jacob Miller kicked things off for the Knights with a first place finish and time of 49.39.
Ryan Hagan kept the winning ways going in the mile, taking first with a time of 4:16.41 while
Nick Bauman took second at 4:22.03.
Brendan Style was the top performer in the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.32 seconds, while
Bergen Caprood earned first place in the 60m at 7.03 seconds with Julien Crandall in second at 7.07. In the 300m,
Jack Towns crossed the finish line first with a time of 35.43. The team of
Andrew Kent, Towns, Style, and Miller earned a first place finish in the 4x400 relay, recording a time of 3:21.18. For the full results from Nazareth,

HOUGHTON:
In the 5000m, Geneseo finished in five of the top six spots, with
Pierce Young taking first at a time of 14:46.87.
Alex Hillyard,
Anson Butler, and
Austin Schoen finished second through fourth, respectively, while
Justin Thang took sixth. In the 800m, Geneseo put up a dominant performance as they finished second through 10th overall.

BOSTON:
Charlie Wilson traveled to the meet at Boston University for the Knights to compete in the 5000m, and finished the race with a time of 14:33.59.
