WINCHESTER, V.A. - The SUNY Geneseo men's basketball team fell to Roanoke on the second day of their season opening invitational at Shenandoah. The 83-68 defeat on Sunday afternoon moved the Knights record to 1-1 on the season after a resounding win over Shenandoah yesterday.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Drew Morrow put up the first four points of the game for Geneseo on back-to-back possessions, but Roanoke rattled off seven straight points following the baskets from Morrow to make it a 12-4 lead.
• The Knights trailed by as many as 28 points in the first half at 43-15, but they closed the half on a high note, out-scoring the Maroons 19-4 in the final five and a half minutes.
• With the momentum on their side, Geneseo was able to cut the deficit to as few as eight points in the second half, but couldn't close the gap any further and ultimately fell 83-68.

QUICK FACTS:

• Sebastian Pacheco led the offense with 15 points, while Morrow chipped in 14 and Trevor Hofer tallied 11.
• Robert Pericolosi posted a team-high seven rebounds, while Pacheco recorded six.
