ROCHESTER, N.Y.- The Geneseo Volleyball team fell to St. John Fisher 3-1 this afternoon. The Knights are now 3-11 overall and 0-2 in Empire 8 conference play.  

HOW IT HAPPENED: 

• Geneseo had a rough start in set one, falling behind 19-11. Even with the team's 12 kills in set one, the team fell to the Cardinals 25-17. 

• The Knights started set two strong, with Kate Barba, Cory Elder and Madison Gamberg all getting kills to put the team ahead by two. They continued to capitalize on St. John Fishers errors and went on to win set two 25-25. 

• The cardinals went on a seven-point run to start the third. Peyton Cole had two great kills to get the team's momentum going, but ultimately could not compete against Fisher's offense, losing 25-18.  

• Geneseo was unable to get the offense going in set four and went down 21-8 early on. They worked hard to come back but the Cardinals held strong, winning 25-16.  

QUICK FACTS: 

• Peyton Cole had an incredible game, leading the team with a career high of 11 kills. 

• Carolyn Mack and Jenna Garvey each had 13 sets and two kills throughout the game. 

WHAT'S NEXT: 

The Knights head to Elmira on Friday, October 11th for a 6 PM match against the Soaring Eagles.
