ELMIRA, NY: The Geneseo Women's Volleyball team took a 3-0 victory over Elmira. Kate Barba and Cory Elder led the team with nine kills each and the Knights now sit at 4-11 overall and 1-2 in conference play.  

HOW IT HAPPENED:  

• The Knight's started the game strong, going up 12-5 early in the match. Jenna Garvey led the offense, tallying two blocks and assists to Kate Barba and Peyton Cole. Mckenna Callari finished strong for the Knights, with an incredible ace game point. Knights take set one 25-13. 

• Geneseo carried the momentum into set two, with Alex Ayers having two aces and Cory Elder notching four kills to bring the score to 17-5. The team capitalized on the Soaring Eagles errors and ended set two 25-8. 

• Elmira kept it close to start set three, trading points with Geneseo. Maddy Baumann, Barba and Elder changed the direction of the game and brought the Knights to a 20-15 lead. They continued this push and closed our set three winning 25-16, and the Knights won the match 3-0.   

QUICK FACTS: 

• Five Knights hit above a .300 tonight; Elder and Barba with nine kills, Madison Gamberg and Cole with six kills, and Bauman with five kills.

• Jenna Garvey led the team with 19 assists, marking a new season high for her.
