GENESEO, NY- The Geneseo Womens Volleyball team took a 3-2 victory over Keuka this afternoon. This win moves the Knights to 5-11 on the season and 2-2 in conference play. 

HOW IT HAPPENED: 

• Keuka took control of set one early on, going up 10-2. Jenna Garvey answered back, tallying two kills and one assist to bring the deficit to three. Even with the effort from the Knights, Keuka took set one 25-17.  

• Geneseo started slow again in set two but went on a five-point run with two kills by Madison Gamberg and two aces by Katie Barba. They continued this tempo for the rest of the set, tallying five more kills and two aces to bring the final score of set two 25-17.  

• The Knights opened set three going up 8-3 with Carolyn Mack getting three assists and an ace. The team capped off the set with another five-point run, winning set three 25-18.  

• Keuka took the momentum in set four, with the Knights going down 11-3 early on. McKenna Callari, Barba, and Gamberg worked hard and got a combined seven kills but the effort was not enough, and lost 25-22. 

• Set five began with teams trading points, but Keuka took the lead 13-10. However, Geneseo was not backing down and rallied with Callari sealing the deal with a beautiful ace, and the Knights won 15-13.  

QUICK FACTS: 

• Kate Barba had an incredible game with 15 kills and four aces.  

• Zooey Gagnier tallied a career-high 23 digs. 

• Geneseo has won the last six of seven matchups against Keuka.
