ALFRED NY- The Geneseo Women's Soccer team tied against Alfred today 0-0. This tie now puts Geneseo at 8-3-3 overall and 6-0-2 in conference play.  

HOW IT HAPPENED: 

• Geneseo started with a bang, putting four shots on net. Lindsey Matthews fired a shot on the net but was denied by the crossbar 12 minutes into the half.
• Lanna Wandy had a fantastic opportunity off a corner kick, getting her head on it, but Alfred's goalkeeper made the save. The Knights headed into halftime tied at 0-0.
• Mollie Collins opened the second half with a great save to keep the score even. Geneseo continued to push, with Matthews putting more pressure on Alfred's goalie, taking shots at the 72nd and 75th minute.
• Lindsay Clar had a shot on goal off a corner kick in the 89th minute but was again denied by Alfred. Geneseo ended the game tied 0-0.  

QUICK FACTS: 

• Geneseo outshot Alfred 22-8 but could not find the back of the net.  

• Mollie Collins recorded her 14th start this season and has totaled over 1100 minutes in net this year

• Geneseo record against Alfred is now 28-4-3, with the most recent being a 2-0 win last year.
