GENESEO, NY- The Geneseo Volleyball team won 3-0 against SUNY Poly this evening. The team now stands at 6-12 overall and 3-3 overall in the Empire 8 conference.  

HOW IT HAPPENED:  

• Geneseo took control of set one, with Carolyn Mack and Kate Barba going on a serving run, collecting four aces between the two of them. Maddy Baumann also notched 4 kills pushing the Knights to take set one 25-6.   

• The Wildcats were unable to keep it close in set two. Service aces from Madison Gamberg and Makenna Callari, along with Geneseo capitalizing on Poly's errors gave the Knights a 25-7 win in set two.   

• Geneseo held a close lead in set three, with Natalie Maser controlling the offense with three kills, and Gianna Lucchi with five assists. Geneseo was able to pull ahead and finish out the set with a 25-18 win. 

QUICK FACTS:  

• Maddy Baumann, Kate Barba, and Madison Gamberg tallied 16 total kills. Baumann led with seven and hit a .400 on the night. 

• Since their first match-up in 2016, the Knights have a 4-0 record against the Wildcats.
