GENESEO, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo women's golf team concluded their fall season on Tuesday afternoon with a 3-1 win over Utica at Livingston Country Club. Geneseo won all four dual matches they competed in during the fall, finished tied for first in the Keuka Invitational and third overall at the Empire 8 Championship.
In a competitive match,
Jillian Draper earned the win at the top of the lineup. Draper entered the 18th and final hole tied with the Pioneers, but the Watertown, N.Y. native was able to par the hole to earn the victory and the point for Geneseo.
Sara Ippolito also played a strong back nine to secure a win for the Knights, as she pulled out a 3 & 1 victory. Ippolito's match was highlighted by three pars on the back nine and two on the front.
Shannon McCrory earned the final point for Geneseo with a score of 3 & 2. McCrory rattled off a win on the last four holes they played to earn the win and help secure the match for the Knights.
Brooklyn Rogers also competed for Geneseo, but was unable to pull out the win, falling 2 & 1.
