GENESEO, N.Y.- The SUNY Geneseo men's basketball team won at home in another thrilling game against SUNYAC foe Potsdam on Saturday afternoon. The Knights trailed by as many as 15 points in the second half, but prevailed for a 70-66 win to improve their record to 10-9 overall and 7-5 in conference action.
HOW IT HAPPENED:Â
- Through the first ten minutes of play Potsdam was able to maintain a lead, but thanks to a layup by Justin Yearwood, the Knights cut the lead to 15-13Â
- The Bears finished out the half by outscoring the Knights 18-7, and took a 33-20 lead into the break.
- Seven minutes into the second half, Geneseo was able to dwindle the Potsdam lead down to just 3 points, and then took the lead for the first time in the half off of four straight free throws from Cole Kattan.
- With 38 seconds remaining and the score tied, Josh Garelle was able to score on a driving layup to give the Knights a 68-66 lead. Cole Kattan was able to then clinch the game with a big defensive rebound and then two free throws to give the Knights a 70–66 win.Â

- Cole Kattan led the Knights in scoring during the game, dropping 19 points.
- Freshman Josh Garelle and Robert Pericolosi made big shots down the stretch and contributed 18 and 16 points, respectively.Â
- Pericolosi finished with a double-double by grabbing 10 rebounds, while Sebastian Pacheco led the team in assists with six.
