Geneseo, N.Y.- The No.4 Geneseo men's hockey team lost to No.7 Plattsburgh on Friday night. The Ice Knights fall to 15-4-0 overall, and 8-2-0 in conference play.

HOW IT HAPPENED-

• Plattsburgh opened the scoring 2:21 into the first period on an even-strength goal.
• The Cardinals scored again at 14:25 to make the score 2-0.
• Geneseo forward Cooper Fensterstock found the back of the net to give the Ice Knights their first goal. A clever pass from Mitch Machlitt found Fensterstock in front of the net. Stefan Miklakos with the secondary assist on the play.
• At 12:22 into the second period the Ice Knights found an equalizer. Forward Alex Dameski covered on the powerplay on an assist from Stefan Miklakos. Tyson Gilmour also added an assist on the play.
• Plattsburgh scored the next four goals in the third period, making the final score 6-2.  

 
QUICK FACTS-

• First-year goaltender Jacob Torgner recorded 34 saves on 39 shots during Friday night's contest.
• Miklakos's two assists in the game now give him 13 total points in 17 games on the season.
• Geneseo has lost both match-ups against Plattsburgh this season with both games ending 6-2.
