BUFFALO, N.Y.- The SUNY Geneseo men's basketball team picked up a victory on the road against SUNYAC foe Buffalo St. on Tuesday night. The 81-68 win improved the Knights record on the season to 8-9 overall and 5-5 in conference action.
HOW IT HAPPENED:Â
- After early back and forth action between the two teams, baskets by Josh Garelle and Robert Pericolosi lifted the Knights to an early 15-8 lead.Â
- With just under five minutes remaining before halftime, Geneseo led by as much as eleven points and they had the momentum in their favor, but Buffalo State went on a 12-7 run in the final minutes of the half and the Knights led 44-39 going into the locker rooms.
- To start the half both teams traded baskets, but Geneseo was able to jump ahead and maintain a double-digit lead for most of the first ten minutes of the half.Â
- In the final stretch of the game, Geneseo was able to hold off any potential comeback thanks to some clutch baskets by Sebastian Pacheco as they defeated Buffalo State 81-68 in a big SUNYAC victory.
