GENESEO, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo men's soccer team claimed their second win of the season on Tuesday night. The Knights defeated Houghton 2-0, giving them a 2-0-1 record for the 2023 season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The first goal didn't come until the 41st minute when Joe Vogt lined up for a penalty kick. Vogt snuck the ball to the left of the Houghton goalkeeper and into the net to give Geneseo a 1-0 lead heading into halftime.
- Geneseo scored again at the 62nd minute as Justin Arilotta found the back of the goal after some swift footwork. Arilotta's goal pushed the Knight's lead to 2-0.
- Following the second goal, the Knights were able to run the clock down, and some clutch saves from Vincent Maronski Jr. helped seal the game.
QUICK FACTS
- Arilotta's goal marks his 10th of his Geneseo career, and his first of this season, while Vogt netted the fourth of his career.
- Maronski Jr. recorded 3 saves against Houghton, giving him 10 on the season.
