HOW IT HAPPENED
- Geneseo had a great start to the first set. An early scoring run led by three straight aces by Madison Popielski set the tone early. Potsdam hung in, often trailing by less than three, but Geneseo ended the first with a big kill by Julia Wallace, claiming the 25-21 win.
- The Knights jumped all over Potsdam in the second set, as they led 17-6 and then Allie Diesen served Geneseo to a commanding 25-6 win.
- Geneseo was just one set away from a SUNYAC win, and they were not going to let it slip away. Popielski had an early serving run, as did Cecilia Dignan. A service error from Potsdam handed the Knights a 25-18 win in the third, securing the sweep.
