GENESEO, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo men's soccer team battled for a hard-fought tie with #12 University of Rochester Tuesday night at College Stadium. Graduate Student Liam Mulderig scored the equalizer in 61^st minute to secure the draw for the Knights.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Graduate Student Tyler Lewandowski created the first scoring chance of the night for the Knights in the 4^th minute on a right footed shot on goal saved by the Yellowjackets goalkeeper.
• Rochester scored the first goal of the evening in the 16^th minute on a deflected corner kick that the Yellowjacket defender put in the back of the net.
• The Geneseo Knights scored the game-tying goal in the 61^st minute. Midfielder Justin Arilotta lofted a pass in the air to Tyler Lewandowski who passed the ball across the box to Liam Mulderig, which he buried into the back of the net.
• The Knights and Yellowjackets would remain scoreless for the rest of the second half, making the final score 1-1.

 
QUICK FACTS:

• Junior goalkeeper Vincent Maronaski Jr. played all 90 minutes in goal for Geneseo and recorded six saves during the contest.
• Graduate Midfielder Liam Mulderig scored the game tying goal for the Knights, giving him three goals on the season so far.
• Justin Arilotta has recorded a total of nine points in the last four games of the season, giving him the most points on the season for Geneseo.
