Women's Tennis Battles Tough Competition At St. Lawrence Invitational

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 CANTON, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo women's tennis team traveled up to St. Lawrence on Saturday and Sunday to take on a two day tournament against the Saints and RIT.

The Knights struggled to get their momentum going during the tournament as they were unable to pull out a singles or doubles victory against the tough competition. Natalie Pipes and Samantha Rava put up a strong performances in the first flight of singles, falling 8-5 and 8-7 to St. Lawrence and the Tigers, respectively. In the second flight of singles, Pipes continued to play well but fell short with a score of 8-5 once again. Talia Wutz highlighted the third flight of singles for Geneseo, dropping an 8-6 decision to RIT.

In the second flight of doubles play, the Knights dropped a pair of tough tiebreakers. Pipes and Rava fell 8-7 (4), while Abigail Rockwood and Katie Kujawa nearly pulled out the win with a score of 8-7(6).
