GENESEO, N.Y. – The SUNY Geneseo men's soccer team earned a victory at home after a dominant performance on Saturday afternoon, beating Mount Saint Mary College (NY) 4-1. The Knights honored senior
Aman Manghi before the game with a brief Senior Day celebration ceremony.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Geneseo captain Joe Vogt started off the scoring in the third minute with a powerful header on a ball crossed in by Vasion Sinjari.
- Justin Arilotta scored his first goal of the afternoon on a cross slotted in by Jake Depaoli in the 12th minute, giving Geneseo a 2-0 lead.
- Mount Saint Mary scored their only goal of the game in the 23rd minute. Less than a minute later, Tyler Lewandowski scored his first goal of the season, restoring Geneseo's two goal lead.
- Geneseo polished the game off in the 58th minute with a mesmerizing solo goal scored by Justin Arilotta, his second goal of the afternoon, making the final score 4-1.
