Women's Soccer Plays To A Draw At Nazareth

PITTSFORD, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo women's soccer team tied Nazareth as neither team found the back of the net in the 0-0 final. The Knights sit at 3-1-1 on the season after their matchup with the Golden Flyers on Wednesday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The Knights controlled much of the offense in the first period as they tallied eight shots against the Golden Flyers' two.
  • As a team, Geneseo also recorded five corner kicks in the first period while Nazareth had zero. 
  • The pace was increased in the second period as each team put up at least 12 shots, including six in the final five minutes of the game.
  • Neither team was successful in securing a goal, though, and the game came to a close with the Knights picking up their first draw of the season.
  • Junior goalkeeper Mollie Collins recorded 6 saves in the matchup to lock down Geneseo's fourth shutout on the year.

  • Senior forwards Liv Raucci, Juliette Frischmann, grad student Lindsay Wright, and freshman midfielder Allison Deeley each put one shot on goal against Nazareth.
