GENESEO, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo men's lacrosse team earned another SUNYAC win Saturday afternoon, as they edged out the Plattsburgh Cardinals, 21-11, on the road. The victory marked the Knights fifth straight, and improved their record to 9-3 overall and 3-0 in the SUNYAC.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Knights offense came to play as they took over the first quarter. Within the first 30 seconds of the game, William McCumiskey scored the Knights first goal. The rest of the offense was quick to back him up as they went up 9-1 with seven different Knights involved in the goal scoring.
- Plattsburgh showed some life in the final minutes of the half, but still weren't able to outscore the Knights, and Geneseo held onto a commanding 13-4 lead heading to the second half.
- Mark Pav led the Geneseo defense in the third quarter, only letting in one goal over the 15 minutes.
- Plattsburgh came out strong in the fourth, scoring three straight goals. Despite their efforts, Geneseo could not be stopped as they continued to separate the score, finishing the game 21-11.
