Game Recap: Men's Lacrosse |

Men's Lacrosse Stays Perfect in SUNYAC Play with 18-5 Win over Brockport

GENESEO, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo men's lacrosse team continued their undefeated SUNYAC win streak today against the Brockport Golden Eagles, winning at home, 18-5. The Knights are now 12-4 overall and 6-0 in the conference.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Brady Sullivan set the tone early in the game by scoring two goals back to back. Brockport responded with one goal, but it  didn't stop the Knights momentum. Two goals by William McCumiskey and Riley Henselder, and one goal from Jimmy Atkinson and Christian Marcello, Jr., pushed the Knights to an 8-1 lead in the first quarter.
  • The 2nd quarter dimmed down for both teams as they each were only able to score one goal on each other's defensive line.
  • The third quarter was started up by Brockport with one goal, but the Knights didn't seem to be rattled. They tallied up four more goals to a commanding lead into the fourth, 13-3.
  • The fourth quarter showed some new faces for the Knights. Starting off with Marcello Jr., Joe Luconte, Matt Coleman, Ryan Trebing and Kevin Mouton each clipping one goal a piece, pushing the Knights to a 18-5 victory.

QUICK FACTS

  • Face off specialists, BB Syrop, Jake Starkey and Cade Spencer collectively went 16 for 27 at the X.
  • Mark Pav, Wes Ralph and Brodie Sullivan all saw the field and came up with nine, two and one saves, respectively.
