Softball Drops Two to Rochester

GENESEO, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo softball team came up short in their home doubleheader against Rochester on Tuesday afternoon, falling 15-3 and 9-0. The Knights record falls to 15-14-1 overall after the doubleheader.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The Knights struggled to get the bats going in both games, but scored a pair of runs in the bottom of the fourth inning in the first game after capitalizing on a Yellow Jackets error.
  • Later in the game, Geneseo added their third run on the bat of Rebecca Schwartz, with an RBI single to third base.
  • The Knights got off to a slow start in the second game as well, trailing 5-0 after the first inning. Geneseo was unable to get a rally going to start a comeback, with Hannah Recine tallying the lone hit of the game.
