Lewisburg, PA & Brockport, NY - SUNY Geneseo men's track and field split up to compete at the Bucknell Bison Outdoor Classic and Brockport Multi & Invitational this weekend.
Saturday - At Bucknell,
Ezra Ruggles highlighted the day with his 2nd place finish in the steeplechase. Ruggles' time of 8:58.86 is a new school record and puts him 3rd in the nation.
Nick Andrews ran 3:49.48 in a loaded 1500m field. Andrews' time sets him 5th in program history.
William Hall ran a 30:59.38 to place 3rd in the 10,000m.
At Brockport,
Lance Jensen led the way as the Knights went 1-4 in the 400mh. Jensen ran a 52.75 for a new school record and puts him 2nd in the nation.
Kieran Sheridan lowered his school record with a first-place finish in 47.65 in the 400m. Sheridan's time puts him 10th in the nation. His teammates
Jacob Miller and
Jason Rappazzo both ran PR's and finished 2nd and 3rd respectively.
Brendan Style won the 110mh with a time of 15.24. Style's time places him 6th in program history. Decathlete
Caleb Clarke also ran under 16s with a time of 15.93 to place 2nd.
Brett Patmore threw 48.13m in the javelin to capture the W.
The Knights also swept both the 4x100m and 4x400m relays, with the 4x400 of
John Goldszer, Jensen, Rappazzo, and Sheridan running a 3:13.16 to sit at 3rd in the nation.
Sunday - Mathhew Sheehan highlighted day two at Bucknell. Leading 3 Knights to go under 1:53 in the 800m. Sheehan's time of 1:52.18 places him 4th in program history.
The Knights will be back next weekend when they travel to Rochester for the UofR Alumni Invite.
