Game Recap: Men's Lacrosse |

Men's Lacrosse Earns Fourth-Straight Win, 17-8 over New Paltz

GENESEO, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo men's lacrosse team improved their record 8-3 overall and 2-0 in SUNYAC play, with a win at home against New Paltz, 17-8.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • The Hawks came out hot, scoring the game's first goal, but Geneseo didn't make it easy for them the rest of the way. William McCumiskey responded quick with two back to back goal to take the lead in the first. Spencer Frank and Robert Boneillo followed McCumiskey's lead by scoring one goal each, putting the Knights ahead 4-2 at the end of the quarter.
  • Geneseo's offense seemed to be unstoppable during the second quarter as they scored four straight goals to continue their dominance over the Hawks.
  • After allowing the first goal of the third quarter, senior goalkeeper Mark Pav and the Geneseo defense locked up New Paltz for the remainder of the quarter. The offense backed them up scoring five unanswered goals to push them to a comfortable lead, 14-4.
  • Despite New Paltz's four goals in the fourth quarter, it wasn't enough to get them back in the game. A goal from face off specialist Cade Spencer solidified the Knights win, ending the game 17-8.
