POTSDAM, NY - The SUNY Geneseo women's lacrosse team picked up another win on the road against Clarkson this afternoon, 12-9. The victory improves the Knights to 5-2 on the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Megan Cook started it off early for the Knights by putting the first goal on the board. The Golden Knights were able to tie it up, however, Maira Brennan, Cook and Molly Brown were able to put together three straight goals to bring the score to 4-1 headed into the second quarter.
• Clarkson seemed to find their offensive rhythm in the second, but Geneseo's defense was able to keep the Knights ahead. The offense held their own as well as they finished the first half up two goals, 7-5.
• Clarkson came out hot as they scored a goal to bring the game within one, but Geneseo's Alaina Reina and Reegan Vorgang responded with back to back goals. Clarkson didn't go down without a fight as they once again brought the game within one goal headed into the final quarter.
• Maggie Rosaschi and the Geneseo defense locked up and only allowed one goal to get by in the final 15 minutes. The offense took over and were able to create some separation by going up 12-9, which was led by Alaina Reina and Molly Brown. 

QUICK FACTS

• Alaina Reina and Molly Brown led the Geneseo offense with four goals, while Megan Cook clipped two.
• The Golden Knights were not able to get a lead on the Knights for the entirety of the game.
• Maggie Rosaschi played the entire game for the Knights in goal and tallied 11 saves.
