GENESEO, N.Y. – The SUNY Geneseo women's lacrosse team earned its third-consecutive win, and second straight in the SUNYAC, on Wednesday afternoon as they defeated Buffalo St., 15-2. The win improves the Knights to 4-2 overall and 2-0 in conference action.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Geneseo got off to a strong start offensively with a man-up goal from Molly Brown to give the Knights the lead early in the first quarter. Alaina Reina and Sophia Lamendola also netted a goal to make the score 3-0.
- The Knights took over in the second quarter scoring six unanswered goals, three of which were scored from junior attacker Megan Cook.
- Leading 9-0 heading into the third quarter, Geneseo extended its lead with six second half goals while only allowing the Bengals to tack on two goals of their own.
QUICK FACTS
- Cook led Geneseo with five points on four goals and one assist, while junior attacker Brown added three goals and one assist herself.
- Senior defenders Meg Seeley and Lindsay Merenda each picked up six ground balls to lead the Knight's defensive efforts.

- The Knights have now won 13-straight games against the Bengals, with the last seven coming by double-digits.
