MORRISVILLE, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo men's lacrosse team clinched their second win of the season on Wednesday afternoon against Morrisville, 15-8.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• A goal by Brady Sullivan at the 11:15 minute mark got the ball rolling to start off the game. However, just 15 seconds later, Morrisville answered with a goal of their own. The rest of the quarter saw back and forth action, but the Mustangs took a one goal lead at 3-2 into the second quarter. 
• The second quarter saw the Mustang offense slow down as Geneseo held them to zero goals, while the Knights were able to find their rhythm with Brady Sullivan adding two goals to his tally, and Christian Marcello, Jr. found his first. 
• Out of halftime, the Knights came out hot scoring five goals in 6 minutes and 47 seconds. Despite Morrisville's efforts to comeback by scoring three straight goals, the quarter ended at 12-6 in favor of Geneseo.  
• The Mustangs scored the first goal of the final quarter, but goals by William McCumiskey, Marcello and Jimmy Atkinson, closed the game out, taking the Knights to their second win of the season.

QUICK FACTS

• Marcello Jr. led the offensive effort with five goals and two assists, while Atkinson joined him with five goals and one assist. 
• Wes Ralph was in goal for the Knights and came up with 13 saves to get his second win of the season.
