GENESEO, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo women's basketball team defeated the Fredonia Blue Devils 77-47 on Friday night. The road win bumped the Knights to 18-6 overall and 13-4 in SUNYAC play on the year.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Knights came out firing in the first quarter, taking a 14-7 lead halfway through. Geneseo finished out the quarter leading 23-14, behind a perfect 9-9 from the free-throw line.
- A 21-9 run in the second quarter, highlighted by some key shots from Lauren Romito and Kelly McLaughlin, brought the game to halftime with the Knights leading, 44-23.
- Geneseo's solid defense along with two straight three-pointers by Hannah Stockman kept them up considerably, as they took a 57-35 lead into the final quarter.
- The Knights did not let Fredonia get close to a comeback in the fourth quarter, adding to their total and going up by 30 just before the final buzzer.

- Romito dropped her second-straight double-double in the game, putting up 27 points while bringing in 16 rebounds and going 9-9 from the free-throw line.
