GENESEO, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo men's basketball team fell short at New Paltz on Friday evening, 88-61. Geneseo's overall record falls to 10-12, with a 7-8 SUNYAC record.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Knights started the first half slow, quickly falling behind by eight with a score of 3-11. Two quick baskets by Cole Kattan helped the comeback effort for Geneseo. Despite the back-and-forth period, the buzzer sounded with Geneseo behind 33-39.
- In the first half, Ethan St Lucia recorded a team-high six points, all of which came from behind the arch. Chris Davis also recorded six points, which he gained from his three successful layups.
- Geneseo continued their comeback effort in the second half, with a three-pointer from Cole Kattan to lessen the deficit to only three. However, the chances of a victory dwindled away, as New Paltz outscored Geneseo 49-28 in the second half, with a final score of 88-61.
