ROCHESTER, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo women's basketball team came up short on the road Wednesday night, falling to Nazareth 80-69. The Knights record drops to 4-3 overall.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• The Golden Flyers came out hot, taking a 5-0 lead after the first two possessions. However, Geneseo responded with a 9-0 run, capped off by a layup from Mackenzie Reigle. The Knights led by as many as six points in the opening quarter, and took an 18-13 lead into the second quarter.
• Halfway through the second quarter, an and-one from Audrey Hintz brought the Knights lead back up to six, however, Nazareth had an answer and regained the momentum heading into the second half with a 39-32 lead.
• The Golden Flyers were able to expand their lead in the second half, and then fended off a late run by the Knights to win by a score of 80-69.

QUICK FACTS:

• Kiley Snow led the Geneseo offense with 17 points on 5-7 shooting from behind the arc. Audrey Hintz chipped in 16 points of her own.
• Kerry Dennin added her second double-double of the season and fourth straight game with double-digit rebounds, tallying 13 points and 10 boards.

The Knights will host RIT for their final game of the semester on Dec. 9 at 2 p.m. in Schrader Gym.
