GENESEO, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo women's volleyball team won their quarterfinal matchup in the SUNYAC Tournament as they hosted the Plattsburgh Cardinals and cruised to a 3-0 sweep, 25-16, 25-12, 25-18.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The first set began as one of the impressive openings of the Knights season. Geneseo claimed the first 12 points of the set with Jenna Garvey serving and recording two aces. Plattsburgh would score a few, and Garvey would add another ace later on as the Knights claimed the set 25-16 after a kill by Linda Rossi.
- After a dominant first set for Geneseo, Plattsburgh was looking for anything to click. However, Geneseo played even better in the second set. Garvey claimed two more aces and Alisiana Muscoreil recorded several kills. Madison Gamberg put it away with a kill, and the Knights took the second set 25-12.
- Geneseo was determined to end the match in the third. A big serving run from Cecilia Dignan set the Knights up in a good spot. Linda Rossi added more kills to her tally, and Garvey added four more aces to hers as Gamberg put the set away once again with a kill.

- Madison Popielski led the team with seven kills, while Madison Gamberg combined with Muscoreil for seven blocks.
